This architectural marvel designed by Manuel Aires Mateus might be one of the most unconventional destinations in our collection but it is fully in sync with the DOM ethos. ⁠Our friends at Silent Living manage their property like their own home and invite guests to explore the surrounding nature and connect to the earth, submerged into vast fields of olive trees and oaks. ⁠

Amid the rolling green hills, the only visible elements of the building are the patios and a large dome that links the interior rooms with the outdoors. The house offers 3 ensuite rooms, brightened by adjoining private patios. The kitchen and living area open up to the grand patio, offering majestic views of the property and the beautiful Alqueva lake. The dome, seemingly cut from the hillside itself, is at the home’s center and the natural gathering place for guests.
