Terms of service

 

1) You and your group take all health and safety responsibility while at the property.

2) The guest who makes the booking and payment must be present is responsible for the checkout, taking responsibility over their guests and communication with DOMstay.

3) In case you need to cancel, our cancellation policy adjusts according to the timing of your arrival:

c. 50 days or more before arrival: Full balance returned minus 5% (to cover our payment fees)

d. 29-50 days before arrival: 50% refund give minus 5% (to cover our payment fees)

e. 1-28 days before arrival: No refund given

4) Any issues that need to be dealt with during your stay must be communicated with our team immediately and we will aim to deal with the issue as quickly as possible. We will not engage in extra customer service after your booking has ended.

5) Any deliveries/post you organise during your stay are exclusively your responsibility and must be managed accordingly. We reserve the right to charge for any administrative time we encounter as a result of your deliveries to the booking property.

6) Whilst you are staying in the property it is the guest party’s responsibility to keep the property clean and tidy and to leave it in the original condition at the end of your stay.

7) No party, event nor gathering may take place at the property which exceeds the maximum agreed occupancy numbers. It is also not permitted for any commercial enterprise or supplier of leisure activities to visit the property during your stay.

We appreciate the need for you to have an enjoyable time whilst on holiday; however, we would also ask you to respect the home and its neighbours and not disturb or cause offence in any way.

8) Loud music/noise is not permitted between 10pm and 9am in and within the grounds of the rental property.

9) Smoking is strictly prohibited. Please do not bring your own candles or tea lights. Making fires in the fireplace/wood burner is at your own risk. All naked flames must be extinguished when leaving a room.

10) BBQ and firepits are available at some properties for your use. Please bring your own coals and clean up after use. We do not attend to the BBQ.

11) Pets may not be taken to the property unless they have been booked in with us and confirmed in writing. The guest is responsible for any damages to the property and ensuring that their pets are kept off any communal areas and cleaned up after.

12) Parking is limited to that which is specified within the designated area - no vans, skips, lorries, or mobile homes are allowed.

13) We provide internet wifi & TV connection, however technical issues may arise. We are not responsible for neighbourhood/supplier issues which are beyond our control.

14) Please ensure that you have collected all of your belongings. Items left behind will be donated to the local charity and will not be returned via post. The pre-authorised deposit does not cover the return of left items.

15) Losses or damages incurred by any member of your party during your holiday must be paid for. If a loss or damage does occur to the property while you are staying there, please inform the owner as soon as possible to agree to the level of charges to be paid. Charges will be deducted from your security deposit by mutual agreement.

16) The owner accepts no responsibility for the safety, loss or damage of the guests’ possessions whilst on the owner’s property or land.

17) Please note that the properties are subject to seasonal/environmental changes like weather issues, insects & vermin, or neighbourhood issues which are beyond our control.

18) The deposit is a pre-authorized amount and is only a temporary hold placed on a customer's payment card to cover damages to the property.

19) Please return keys to the lockbox and close properly. If the keys are lost/lockbox is left unlocked you will charged £300 to replace the locks.

Should any of these terms be breached or a force majeure arise, the owner has the right to repossess the property at any time without any compensation or refund to the guest who booked or their party. We reserve the right to enter the premises of the rented property at any given time if such an occasion arises.
